Color remap

Overview

The "Color Remap" post-processing effect can be enabled with a checkbox in the Project Settings > Rendering section, if the checkbox General > Use Project Settings was set in Preferences > Rendering > Post-Effects.
It allows for color grading and/or artistic color remapping in the editor, in order to best match the colors in you engine of choice. To do so, you have to provide a texture look up table (LUT) with the following characteristics:

  • A 256x16 color texture

  • The texture maps colors as an horizontal array of 16x16 squares, with the amount of red being horizontal axis of a square from left to right, the amount of green the vertical axis of a square from up to down and the amount of blue increasing from square to square and thus being constant in each square

  • Both sRGB and linear encoding of colors are supported
